Thank you, Natick voters, for your support and your confidence in our plan.  A vote to raise taxes is never easy, and this victory was won because Natick voters looked carefully at all the issues.

Our motto has been "Together for Natick Schools."  We salute the thousands of volunteers who played a part  in this victory.  Since last Spring, and even going back to last year's  override campaign, many people have devoted countless hours volunteering  for this effort.  It started as a journey of a few people, with more joining in every day, and at the finish line thousands of Natick citizens are crossing together.

We want to assure the taxpayers of Natick that today's vote was a vote for careful planning, for fiscal responsibility, and for protecting Town services.  We have done all that we could  to assure people that this is a responsibile plan.  We have said that Natick is a community  where all generations and people will come together to support their  schools, and it is.

To the many voters who opposed this override, we thank you  for raising important questions that were answered to the voters' satisfaction.  This was a diverse campaign effort, and we know that we will find the common ground to again be one community.

Tonight is a night to be thankful to the Town, to the voters, to our families and friends, and of course to the teachers and children for making this effort so rewarding.
